- Sheltered Housing
O’ Connell Court provides supported sheltered accommodation for Older People in Cork City.
Community development work with our residents ensures that they feel included and can participate in their local community. - People We Accept
People of an older age who require specialised support, people who have become homeless and people aged over 50 with mental health issues, Senior Citizens. We can accept couples. - Age Criteria
Age Minimum Maximum Average: 50 and 70-75 - Support Services
Full time and Part time staff in 2 properties, 24 hour waking cover. We also provide information, advice, supervision of medication, personal assistance and social activities. - Health Services
Visiting GP HSE and CPN visits weekly, Primary Healthcare Team, Pharmacy delivery service. Support staff 24/7. We also provide advice on Move-On options and assistance with applications
Rules & Policy
We Do Not Accept
Arsonists, sex-offenders and people with a history of violence.
Those currently addicted to alcohol or using drugs.- House Rules and Tenure
No alcohol allowed on the premises. Licence agreement. Tenents must be in by 12.00 midnight. Visitors are allowed but not a mealtimes. Overnight guests with staff permission. - Policy
Written EOP, Harrassment policy and complaints procedure. Data protection policy. Tenants are encouraged to attend regular residents meetings.
